FoodBox Mobile App

In March 2018, I developed the FoodBox Mobile App for the client FoodBox while at DigiBrush. This project was a dynamic mobile application designed for online food ordering, allowing users to fully customize each menu item. The app was launched with an initial focus on the Colombo 03, 05, and 06 areas, providing a user-friendly platform for a seamless ordering experience. I focused on optimizing the back-end API for performance and speed to ensure a smooth and responsive app. Robust security measures were implemented to protect user and payment data, and the technical foundation was built to support future scaling and performance. The back-end of the mobile application was developed using PHP to power the API that communicated with the mobile front-end. The application's data, including user profiles, menu items, and orders, was managed with MySQL. For secure and reliable online transactions, a Payment Gateway was integrated, specifically Stripe. The entire backend infrastructure was hosted and managed on AWS (Amazon Web Services), ensuring scalability and high availability.
